tps.. hard shift .. FIXED..
I had my tps replaced and now there is a definate hard shift from park to drive when the engine is started.. i thought it was just hi rev when cold but there is also a noticeable
shift between 1st and 2nd while driving.
I was told the car had to learn the new tps.. and i had to drive over 60km/h for at least 10 without hitting the brakes for the car to recognize the new tps
well i have made at least 3 of these trips and can still "feel" the car shift from park to drive
and again from 1st to 2nd where i did not feel this before..
any ideas.

Computers don't "learn" new TP sensors. They are simple spring loaded rheostats that take a 5 volt signal as reference and spits out a voltage relative to the throttle position. Is the new sensor adjustable in regards to its position? If so, it may be set a bit too much on the "high" side of things. If it isn't adjustable, you should be fine from the box. You could always "force" a relearn by pinching the battery power for 10 minutes, then drive around so the computer can adjust itself again, but I doubt that is the case.

first started about 1500.. i usually wait about 2 min and drive off.
shifting from park to drive is hard.. rpms are high
rpms were high before too.. but shifting was not as noticeable. almost none existent
once its warmed up it idles at approx 900 -1000 , and the shifting
is not as hard but more noticeable than before the tps was changed..
i dont mind it.. but i dont want to damage anything..
if its not a big deal i can live with it easily...

You were probably used to the car shifting sluggish, which is possible if the TPS had been off kilter for a while.
Now that it'* shifting properly, it might take some time to get used to. I mean, if it'* not snapping your head back from 1-2, just a noticeable bump or jerk into the next gear, that to me sounds healthy.
My TPS is shot, and it results in sluggish shifts. IIRC, sluggish shifts = more slippage and more slippage = broken tranny
People put shift kits in their car to make them shift hard and fast, virtually eliminating slipping.

Update. fixed..
peterg was over at franks getting some parts.
i mentioned the issue to him.. he says pop the hood.
a metal vacuum line going to the tranny was off.. must have been moved when
sensor was replaced..
pete reconnected it.. all set.
