Total Engine Loss 3800 3.8 99 Bonne

Having to have the whole engine replaced due to antifreeze entering block and heads.

Has anyone heard of this happening, and tell me anything about it?

Not very often...Just head gasket blown after getting too hot...hydrolock??

I am assuming you have a non-supercharged engine. What year, model do you have?

It sounds to me that you had a leaky intake. This problem isn't all that uncommon but usually it is caught before it gets to this.

If you search throughout this forum you will probably find other mentions of coolant leaking thru the intake manifolds.
