its like all the time.... i notice it at ldle, but thats prolly just cause im not outside the car when its driving. my guess is that its something normal, cause my wifes stratus has started making it..... it doesn't seem to hurt performance... i just would like a nice purring sound (or a growl where applicable)

Lifter bleading down?
If it'* really loud and gets louder over time(days)
Then it might be a rod knock.
Tensioner pulley?
My exhaust leak ticks too.

I don't think it'* a problem. Mine makes ticking noises too, and my old Bonnie did. They are just loud.

i dont see it as a problem.... more a nusance.... it has done it for at least the past 50-60k miles, i've just had more important things to deal with

If you are really ambitious you can get a stethascope and try to pin down the tick. There are a lot of things that could be making that noise.
