Default Thermostat Rubber

I picked up a 180 thermostat and gasket at Canadian Tire yesterday, but I couldn't find the listing for the rubber seal that wraps around the actual thermostat. I saw them on the shelf, but I just didn't know which number. I guess I can always match them up although there were so many to chose from. Any ideas?

You see that CTC number - that'* the Canadian Tire part number.

I always ask the parts counter guy for the seals and gaskets. Always works.

I have to be honest with you guys, due to time restraints.....I don't always pick up my own car parts. I tend to rely on my wife Cathy, and believe me when I say as soon as they know she'* a women they sometimes talk to her as if she'* 10 years old and give a a story about how she doesn't know what she'* talking about. By the time I step in, my patients shall we say has worn thin. I have to work tomorrow and will be away for the whole day. I'll get back to the forum on Sunday but I do think that the last post will help, Thanks you faisalmali, I think those CTC numbers will help.

Frank with the spelling errors.

Well I went to the parts department and asked for the gaskets and they told me one of the listings was CTC # 17-4226-2 and they didn't have a listing for the other gasket that goes around the actual thermostat. I bought the 17-4226-2 and it'* not the same as the one that came off. harofreak00 could you check the numbers on both thermostats I believe the numbers are ctc# 17-4290-6 and ctc#017-5374-2, since I checked the thermostats on the board and couldn't either one. BillBoost (notice the correct spelling) I have the same gasket as shown in the pictures.
