My tensioner has no gone bad on my 1992 SSEi. When I loosened it to remove the belt, the tensioner didnt do go back to its orignal position on it own like it should. How do I remove the tensioner with the bracket for the alternator because I have a parts car that I would like to remove the tensioner from to replace mine with. Thanks

The tensioner isnt completetly the problem the bracket that allows the tensioner to loosen the belt doesnt swing back, how do I remove the whole assembly.
That assembly is the tensioner. Not the bracket. The tensioner assembly has a pulley on it. The WHOLE thing comes off with a single bolt in the center of the rotating assembly. Look in there.
