Default SUPERCHARGER PROBLEM!!

My super charger starts to make a slight clunking at about 3000 rpm and then when i let go of the accelertor (in park) it makes a really loud clunk and the car rolls back about 3 inchs, GM said it sounds like a bearing maybe, and if so can i just have a new bearing put in??? And how much longer can i drive it like this...in town only.

That doesn't sound typical. Remove the belt and see what it feels like to spin the supercharger back and forth by hand. Is there any play in the pulley?

I can't see how the supercharger could possibly cause this.

is it the bottom roller on your tranny?

also no need to be reving you engine past 3grand in park and does your needle(supercharger) bounce around on idle?

the only reason it was reved past 3grand in park was because the dealership did that to test it out to see what it does at high idel, it almost sounds like a misfire or a back fire but i cant see why its doing that i just changed the plugs and wires and did not screw up on the firing order. the needle is usually at -10 psi or -70 kpa(metric) at idel some times slightly higher.

Ah yes, another piece of the evidence. You said the supercharger makes a noise at idle? Is it a rock tumbler / rattling noise? If it is then it is most likely your coupler inside the supercharger. I would check the pulley as I first suggested.

I'm still not sure about the first problem you described.
