As suggested in that topic, I checked the battery cables, and though they were a little loose, there was no corrosion. Tightened everything, took for a drive, and...problem still exists.

Fuel pressure checks out fine (well, at least it did a few weeks ago). Vac lines are all in good shape as well. I'm thinking the fuel tank itself, like what Boosty went through a few months ago.

I'm starting to really hate this car.

yes, this happens to my 94 SE. if im like 1/4 tank or less and stop hard and/or make a turn i will stall or start to stall. and i can watch my gas gauge like goto E

if u have less than 1/4 tank, mine does that too. well doesnt stall, but theres no fuel for a sec and then goes.

does urs actually stop the engine

If it'* a hard-enough turn, then yes...it will stall out and die.

Even a nice and easy 90* turn will make it sputter

And yes, it'* a 1/4 tank-ish, a little less now.

yup put $5 in and it will stop

I've got the same problem. While I have been told to get a new fuel tank or even a new (or performance) fuel pump, I just don't see how replacing a faulty part with the same essential part will fix this problem, at least for good.

Is there not a way to solve this issue in our year models?... :?

EDIT: I ask this because I've been told it'* primarily the tank itself.

the gas lubricates and cools the pump, so if you dont let it get bone dry, then pump will last longer and wont experiance that right turn problem.

Assuming anything past a 92 didn't get the crappy fuel strainer, the cracked/broken tank baffles could be your problem.

Yeah, to fix the problem, replace the tank. fuel pump is probably fine. Baffles are just bad. Mine does the same thing.
