I had your same problem. I was going seventy in the rain when my car stalled out. Shifted into neutral, pulled over, and restarted it.

It could be an EGR. In my case, it was a dying crankshaft position sensor. Replaced that part, and I haven't stalled since.

Do you have any check engine codes?

No codes as of this minute no lights on my cluster work except for my volts light. I am trying to get things fixed after my wreck. Thanks and I will look into the crank sensor.

Trixster the volt light is a sign of the engine dying and other than warning you that the RPM'* have dropped as did the voltage, it has no bearing on the problem cause.

Unfortunately after a wreck, you can have some continuing problems or new problems present them selves.

Good luck and let us know how things work out.

Having a new crank sensor installed right now will have it back this evening. I will let everyone know what the results are when they come in. I have my fingers crossed and I am putting in my new pcm maybe Friday. I'll keep you all posted on what is next thanks.

Well so far the results I have are better cranking from starting and no more rough starts yet? The engine runs smoother to a point but I still have that rpm drop and miss from time to time. I am having a new O2 installed first thing Thursday and we will see what that does to her. I am also planning on putting in her new PCM maybe as well. I got it figured that soon she will be bigger better and stronger we have the parts to make her whole again. I will keep you guy'* posted thanks
