It'* the coolest gizmo on the car. Freaks people out. You see the speed projected....it looks like it'* green digital numbers out in front of the car....floating there. Pretty wild. Hardly ever look at the real speedo.

I love my HUD! Mine'* a little off though...about 5 mph higher than the speedometer. Is there any way to calibrate that so they are the same....maybe a handy-dandy reset or soemthing?

While you are driving down the road, reach your hand out the window and around to the windshield to grab the numbers. That will stop them from moving. Accelerate until your speedo reads the same speed as the HUD, then let the numbers go. They should read the same now. :P

p.*. Don't try this on busy streets because everone looks at you funny.

p.p.*. Maybe Bill could put this in the TechInfo section.

That'* funny! Big problem. Amy'* arms are too short. Have somebody else drive, and you lean over the windshield out the sunroof. It'll be easier to do! I don't think there'* a calibration possible. I'd say you HUD is accurate, and your speedo is lagging. Pulling your cluster and cleaning it with air (BLOWING it) or lightly lubricating it may help. Wait a little while, and I'll do it for you

I know that my HUD is accurate at 72 mph. That'* what they clocked me at.

If you're going to install a HUD system into your car.. I would recommend taking the HUD out of 2000+ Corvettes...
They have a Tach on their HUD too.. which in my opinion is what'* missin on our HUD

My HUD is dead on at all speeds. There'* some difference between the HUD speed and the guage but I seldom look at the guage.

Do we have the wiring for the tach option on our HUDs? Can we just pop one from a vette? and what about the radio controls? thanks

If you're thinking what I'm thinking, you need to buy a newer Bonneville! The 02 has the tach and radio freq on the HUD. I don't know what year that started. Adding anything is a huge job, but we actually have a pre-92 owner who added the whole HUD like ours. He'* an electrical Engineer. It works great, but he doesn't have the $1200 windshield, so he has a double 'ghosted' image.
