Default Something interesting about the emergency trunk kit

I just figured this out on my 99. There is a trunk recess molded on the left side between the tail light and the wheel well (oppositte of the jack). There is a little ledge there, put the kit there then press the velcro side to the carpet. It will stand on its own. Maybe this is where they were from the factory, but mine was velcrowed to the floor when I bought it.

Yeah mine fits nicely there, too, But I should probably add another velcro strip, cause every time I open the trunk, the pack has peeled off and fallen to the trunk floor.
