I know we've all heard how bad these suck. My 97 I picked up has the standard issue problem. Someone broke it and put a screw through the middle to hold it up.

I'll be picking up another but am wondering what all the broken handle owners have done to fix the situation. I'm looking for a good solution to fix our problems and will end up putting my findings here to help the rest.

So please respond and tell me how you fixed your handles.

i used screws its kinda of a hack job but i was pissed they kept breaking so you can hang from them now without breaking. You can see the screws when u pull down on the handle though not when its in the upright position though....

Still got all of mine where they supposed to be. I don't really worry about it though,I ride alone most of the time
