Default So I bought the 95 I was looking at...couple of questions..

1. This worked last week, but didn't work today when I looked at the car. The trunk unlock motor doesn't work. You can hear it, and see something move, but it won't release the lock.

Anybody ever have this problem or know anything about it?

2. Stereo controls in the steering wheel. The power button, tune down and volume down buttons don't work well at all. Any easy remedies for this?

The dealer changed all of the plugs, wires, fluids and so on. It runs well, doesn't have that strange shift problem. I'm happy with the car.

Here are some pics.

copy and paste...geocities blows.

The light was terrible for taking pictures, but it'll have to do.

The steering wheel controls will need to be rebuilt, procedures are in techinfo, and i think someone used thumbtacks on that once too.

The trunk button inside only works when the car is on, and in park, or the acc or retained power. It'* not a 24/7 button as it'* an electrically activated thing. Are you sure it'* not frozen?

If I posted my VIN number, could someone tell me what options the car came with and so on? Or, is there a place I can go to decipher it myself?

Could be a bad lock mechanism. I know my trunk lock acts funny sometimes.

Yes, but even before it acted funny. It was very very hard to turn with the key sometimes. Now it won't turn at all. I need a new one. Only the button on the inside opens it.

Definitely NOT frozen. I live in southern Arizona. While it was cold today, it still was 60. The trunk release motor is engaging, and something is sliding when you engage the motor, but it doesn't release the lock.

Could there be a severed connection to the lock? Is that possible?

Could be. It doesn't look like something I can really take apart to find out though. I was curious if anybody else had this happen. It'* really quite strange.
