I found this article on oil additives extremely informing. It'* a bit long so you might want to print it out to read. I especially liked the section The Psychological Placebo. This explains why we buy items that we believe to be the best for our cars. Let me know what you think.

Great Article...goes back to what I have qouted before: THE SOLUTION TO POLLUTION, IS DILUTION....if you change your oil REGULARLY...(EVERY 3K) along
with filter...Sludge problem is moot...
