Default Slow Cranking in a 94 SE

I just finished putting in a new battery, fuel filter, plugs, wires and a new serp belt. But when i start the car it has a hard time cranking over. In which i mean it'* really slow like i can see the lights on the dash dim way down so i know it'* taking some major volts to turn it over i just did an oil change as well. It'* starts but it takes a lot to do it. If the starter is bad how much of a pain is it to replace on the 94 se'*? Any ideas what could be the problem i checked the bat cables and there on there good not loose or anything. Thanks Brian

How old is the battery?

Sounds like the battery is weak, or something is draining the amps from it, leaving less for cranking...

How old is the alternator? A weak battery can stress an alternator to the failing point.

A weak alternator can stress a battery and shorten it'* life.

I suggest if EITHER fails, and the other component is more than a year old, change them as a pair.

He said it'* a new battery guys. But get your alternator checked and double check how clean your battery cables are. If it is the starter its not a big deal to replace it. Half hour to an hour job depending on your tools and experience.

Thats what i'm figuring the Starter is i'm sure orginal, so it'* not that big of a deal i'm not to worried i had a gut feeling it was the starter but i'm just making sure yeah the Battery is brand new. I havent tried to get in there yet, i just read my chiltons and it was like lift the Motor, or remove the y-pipe i almost crapped a brick i dont want to do that.
