Default Silly Problem: ECC fan direction

My SSEi'* ECC has got me beat.

How do you change the fan direction so that the warm air blows thru the dash wall vents?

The ECC clearly indicates that air should blow thru. The default setting forces air down to the foot wells when pressing AUTO, the defrost option forces air thru the top dash vents, but how on earth do you get the system to force air thru the dash wall?

Does your ECC have a 'mode' button? If so, press it several times and watch it change.

My 95 has this, but the 93 doesn't.

I'll have to check, the ECC looks simple enough, I'll go take a look

You are left with the air where GM engineers decided you would like it.

Randy upgraded his ECC and programmer to 95+ and now he has a functional mode button.

Thats ridiculous :?

You can clearly see on the ECC LED screen that there is an direction arrow pointing towards the seat graphic, I highly doubt all 94 owners would upgrade to a 95 model ECC to have air pass thru the dash wall.

I guess the vents are there for show eh?

It'll come out those vents. When it thinks you need it.
