Default Shop Manual

Anyone know where online I can find a good shop manual for my car? One that has complete diagrams and instructions for any and every little thing on my car, I don't want some cheap crappy Chilton'* or Haynes book either! Can I pick one up at the local service center?

Pick up a Chiltons mechanical manual. You can buy one at almost any bookstore, and they are VERY useful.

Check ebay. I believe I just saw one for the 1998 Bonneville.

Go with Chiltons..its better and more comprehensive then Haynes. I got my Chiltons at a local Wal-Mart.

Try www.helm.com for new factory service manuals, or watch on ebay for cheaper ones. I have both the Chiltons and the one from Helm. The one from Helm is what the dealers use. I like it better because it has all of the electrical diagnosis tools.

From the T-Type Forum:

" the best manual you can get on these car are from GM publications (800) 782-4356 or FAXON (800)458-2734 or IRIVE BISHKO (800) 544-3312

these manual are what the dealer tech guys use. these book tell you everything about the car. EVERYTHING. "

http://www.hemlinc.com is a more direct route. helm.com is the parent company, and you have to wade through some goofy splash screens and flashturbation to get where you need to go.
