Does anyone know how to take the shift knob off of a 94 se?

Little clip on the forward face of it. Use a dull knife or screwdriver. Put it in "1" for easier access. You'll see it.

I can't seem to get the pin or whatever in. Once I do get it in what do I do to get the **** off?

I've taken a nail set, a chisel, and a screwdriver to it. I don't know if im not getting it in or if im doing something else wrong. Please help a tired man LOL.

Shift it all the way back to 1st gear. Now look at the face of the shift ****. You'll see a small slit in the face towards the stereo. There'* a little metal clip in there that you need to pull out.
