Default Serpentine Belt

I tried to change my serpentine belt yesterday only to find it intertwined with a motor mount. Is that the proper installation? I could cut it to get it off, but then I'd have to take the engine out to put the new one on... there must be an easier way.

It'* a 1996 SE

There is an easier way. You have to remove that ~ 4" bolt w/ sleeve. The belt will then slip off.

Moved to 92-99.
