send picture of motor please
can anybody send me a picture of a 97 sse or the same motor w/o the 3800 series II cover on so i can see where my spark plug wires go...thanks

The front 3 wires (1-3-5) go into a plastic bracket clipped to the front end of the front valve cover, and come out where the green arrows point. Note: wire 1 should loop BEHIND the dipstick tube and wire 5 BEHIND the lifting eye bracket, or else they can be slack enough to get chopped by the fans.

before I got my car I bought a Hayne's Manual and it tells the firing order and which coils go to which plugs. I think you should get one... best $16 ever spent IMO
