Default Seat Belt...Female side

My seat belt button gave up the ghost. Will not latch...Looks like a spring gave way.
So far I have taken out the torx 47 bolt and can move that bar around, but that'* it. I then took off a 10mm nut that looked like it was part of the bracket that holds the belt in. The bar appears to have a nub that won't let it come out.

What am I doing wrong??? I really hate not being able to latch my seat belt. I have a replacement belt from a seat swap, but I cannot get the old one off...(Driver'* side)

Thanks!

I heard once that seatbelts are guaranteed for life. Not sure if its true or not, but you could call a dealer.

You can take out the whole thing if you remove the 6 nuts holding down the seat. I think they're 15mm in the front and 13mm in the back. The whole seat then tilts back, and you can unscrew the whole arm that holds the female part of the belt latch.

I went to the junkyard today and got a female seatbelt out of an 80'* S10. I left the stock seatbelt in place, just removing the bolt from the floor. I bolted the S10 seatbelt into place...voila...It works!. The S10 belt is about an inch higher than the Bonne belt, so there shouldn't be any geometry issues.

I just did not feel like taking a junkyard Bonneville seat apart to get the seatbelt off, let alone my seat.. (The belts I had disappeared in my move)

Grand total $5.
And I have a seatbelt again!!!
On a side note, I latched the driver'* side belt into the passenger'* side female end. None of my passenger'* used a belt, so it was a good temporary move for me...

Glad you got it fixed. Can't beat a $5 repair.

When you mentioned the "female side" I thought you were talking about the passenger seat. That'* where my wife rides.

I haven't noticed your wife over there yet, but I'll keep an eye out for her....
