I looked into it and if you want the info on that scene I can give it to you. I even know how to make it happen but the issue is getting the guys who built it to let the info go. Drop me an e-mail ill give you my secret Phone # and we can talk.

No Joke

LOL

Actually I have been blabing on about this stuff for a long time and hoped that it might stir some feathers but for some reason these pro'* are professional and know the ropes. Hmmmmmm.

The deal is a long time ago a contract was signed. a car was built and it was not something that would work as a daily driver so much as a salt flat toy. Take a twin screw SC (by the way when you contact Mr Bell you will find they will deny knowing about this.) and make an intercooler from scratch, (*** Performance) and bolt it on to basically what intense has made. There are some serious reworking to be done on the electronics but even a twin screw sc all by itself will put you up there. So ití* approximately a 60000.00 deal. I know of casting and machine shops that could do it, but that would be the most expensive extra 200 hp you could buy. Now comes the sad part they will not tell you in the article. The transaxle would not handle hard take offs like the average 4t65-e HD under Scotts car. They changed the end ratio and the goal was top speed not 0-60. I figure the reasons to not make this kit were many and if a serious buyer really wanted it bad it is not hard to find the guys who made the car and pay what it takes.

4t65-e HD is one limitation.

Cost vs market is another.

roadability of this kind of hp is another.

I also believe GM had alot to do with this in the end.

Soo all I know is when I heard about it I hunted down the main people involved and they all pretended to know nothing. Or they said nothing.

It was funny because i would mix my question sometimes to see what happened and they would answer my questions about turboí* and ford twin screw applications but always 0 response to any question about the 200mph Bonneville. They wouldnít even talk about it as an idea. Bell first said he had no idea what i was talking about and mentioned he had never heard of such a project, but then would not talk about what unit he thought might work. LOL clean cut, they would not talk.

Maybe it was because it was me. LOL
I talked money too and still no response so it might help to talk to GM and see what they say.

Iím still focused on v8 power and eventually Rwd.

Ya its just silly to spend that much on a v6 when you can get a 4.6l n* with 800hp for around $25000.00. Why bother with the six.

I don't see any denail here....

http://www.pontiac.com/pontiacjsp/bonneville/news.jsp

Being that it is the official Pontiac website... name names, people, give some spec.*, etc. etc.

Performance people don't keep thing under-wraps. Furthermore, you'll notice that the salt flats Bonneville wasn't intercooled. That'* the trickwith using Roots and Screw type blowers is that using an IC isn't productive, unless you use a Water cooled IC to cool the air below ambient temperatures.

Since they "Suck" air into the engine instead of "Blowing" into the engine.

Furthermore, if you read about the car, you'll see that the Twin-screw that was used wasn't a peice that was recommended by Kenne-Bell. It was picked out and modified for use by a performance shop. So no, Kenne-Bell won't have it in their applications list. They're not trying to bullshit you, they just weren't responsible for it.

Here we go...

"A LPP fabricated intercooler was added to the vehicle to pass cooler air from the supercharger to the engine."

Oh I see so it wasnít intercoolled? I wonder what they bolted to it then?

.

Secrets?? No there are no secrets. I think Iím going to ask Toyota about their new advances on some of their engines and see if they will give them to me. I am sure they will.

So if there are no secrets give me cooks reliable phone #. I have it but it is not easy to find because the guy doesnít want to be bugged by fans on the side who want to blab about hypothetical money and knowledge. Its fun mind you but a real waste of time for busy people. Ití* not a conspiracy but if they the people who built this engine wanted to talk about itÖWell it would be posted on there sites and it would be detailed.

My inquiry was cursory mind you and only because I didnít have the money needed to make such an endeavor happen. I wanted to offer options but when I dropped Lee performance requests for any information I received no answer about the engine and a ton about the other requested info. The info I did receive was great. In the end it was reliable. So maybe just maybe you may be able to find a detail or two that may be off but ultimately the situation based on my personal experience would be as I experienced.

I agree about ken bell though he may never have known anything but if a car like that did what it did I think I would eventually know about it. Maybe just maybe I asked too soon.

Please donít mention me and bug lee performance or ken bell. But if you feel the need ask them yourself then go for it. Remember though if we all bug these guys it will most likely make them mad.
