Default rough idle and stall

Ok i was driving around yesterday when i decided to put gas in my car. i went to a sppedway and put about $20 in the car and went to go play basketball. when i was done i dropped off my friend and decided to put more gas in the car just in case i dont have any money later this week. this time i went to a shell station and put another $10 in. After i pumped the gas i pulled away from the pump and my car was dragging and didnt really want to take off. i stop and waited a minute or so and fired it back up. i made maybe 3 blocks when it started doing it again. the SES and check gages light came on and it stalled. i started it back up and drove a few more blocks when it stopped again.after playing stop and go for about 20 minutes i finally made it home and parked it. now my question is what could possibly have caused this. this is the second time its ever happened, the first time was back in early april. i dont know if this will help but i forgot to turn the car off when i got the second batch of gas. also wach time i start the car it has a very rough idle. if anyone can offer any insight id appreciate it.

Check vacuum lines and battery connections. By far those are the two simplest and largest causes of problems like ths.

Ok so my problem had went away for a day but its back again. I probably drove the car for 20 minutes when it began to idle hard and and stalled. I was told that I could possibly need a tune up. I'm due up for an oil change this month too. Does any of this sound like it could be the culprit. I already checked the battery conections and vacuum lines.
