That'* exactly how mine acted just before I ended up replacing the Upper Intake and the lower intake gasket...But I know that everyone here knows about this and checks their coolant levels regularly, so I would guess that is not your problem.

You have a completely different engine and PCM. Your advice isn't really sound. :?

My 96 did this a few years back. It was water in the fuel.
gas dryer fixxed it right up and she'* run like a charm since.

Evidently rough idle can lead to a lot of things.

Since the SES came on, the car shifts from P to R rather roughly, and a loooow speeds (ie traffic crawl) the shifting was a bit harsh. As speed it shifts just fine. When I come to a stop in the drive gear, I get the pattern of surging/rough idle.

The Boost gage wavers a bit as well.

I tend to think its a vacuum problem somewhere.

I should hear from them shortly.

*edit* I called, apparently is the intake manifold gasket, they are removing the blower and I am await a call back.

Yes, its both the upper and lower intake gaskets. They are sucking in air, causing that vac problem I mentioned.

Good news is no oil or coolant leakage.

Bad news....5 hrs labour...Merry Christmas
