hehe, just have the installer make the exit pipes to fit the tip placement.

here is my take on what you should do, just an opinion.
get whatever tips you want, go to a reputable exhaust place and have them order a camaro/firebird oem muffler. Should only cost $30. They will cut the old muffler off at the muffler , install new one (smaller) , and make 2 exit pipes to place the tips in the position you want.
the oem f-body muffler will give you a nice tone (louder than h-body oem), but not obnoxious loud. I read you as the subtle tone kinda guy.

The easiest way to get the tips/etc lined up is to get the length to end of bumper then weld the tip to pipe. Then clamp the tail pipe at the muffer to allow your self side to side and up/down adjustment.

As much as I hate to agree with the new guy, I agree with Travis on this one. As far as cost and ease of installation goes, that'* probably the best way.
However, I can certainly understand why you might not want any increase in exhaust tone. The quiet is very nice from the Bonneville stock exhaust.

Wow great idea with the f-body muffler. I wouldn't mind a tad louder tone, just nothing raspy or over the top. Even as a more of a "veteran" member of the club, I'm still amazed by the speed of the replies. I really appreciate it guys!!

you will want to keep the resonator also. the headers/cat combo will make it loud enough.
