Rims Transition
Ok this winter i'm gonna save up all my money and buy something big in the spring for my car..i'm considering like 17" or 18" rims for my bonne. I know in winters ahead i'm gonna have to take those suckers off and put my stock tires/rims on.. Is the transition of changing rims hard? Is it something i could do by myself or am i gonna have to go to like some tire shop and have them change the tires?..How much is it to do that? ..lol..lots of questions im just curious.

One more thing...If i were to get lets say..18" rims. I realize that would affect my spedometer..how would i change my spedometer so it would recognize that i have 18" tires instead of 16"..

No problem switching tires. Just keep your stock 16'* for winter like you planned. Go up to TECHINFO, Tech Know-How, and there'* a link listed for calculating tire sizes. It'll tell you your speedo error for different combinations. You can select the right size and prevent the error.

I changed to my stock tires for winter but left my chrome rims on....
1.) Chrome is no aluminum, but its more protected that polished rims
2.) I'm the kind of guy who cares for his rims deeply and tries to remember to polish them once a week
3.) I don't drive much in winter in my own car (i become a hermit in winter and only drive to and from work/school)
4.) They look oh so classy in the snow! I'll take my car out into my yard in the dead of winter and take some artsy pictures, believe me it will look GOOD!

new rims
hey i just got 17" enkeis with 255/45 tires and since the tires are low profile the whole diameter is still around the same as the 16 with the 225/65 tires so if you go with the right combo youll be cool and i just kept my stock wheels and tires for the snow boarding season and switch them in my garage one side at a time. i wish i had money to go with 18 tires get spendy with size
