Default Right Front Vibration

I've developed a vibration in the right front wheel of the Bonnie. The weird part is that it'll get bad at about 35 mph, and then at about 55 mph, as if to hit resonance at those speeds. This leads me away from the thought of a bad bearing to something else. Any ideas? The lugs were checked and are all tight.

If you have lifetime balance and rotation on the tires..take it in for a balance.

Next..jack it up and wiggle the tire at 12 and 6 then 3 and 9

any play..report back.

Checked the tire, no play either way.

You could have a bent wheel or bad tire. Try rotating that tire to the rear. I suppose another possibility would be a badly warped rotor. Is the vibration worse when using the brakes?

No, the vibration is there whether I'm accelerating through said speeds, staying at those speeds, or braking back through them.

I'll rotate the tires when it dries out here and see what happens.

Do you have plastic rim covers on your car?

No, they're aluminum rims.

I have the same problem on my front left (drivers side). It does the "resonance" thing too usually around 55. I have been told by 2 different automobile mechanics that it is a bad wheel bearing. I just dont have money to fix it or have any idea what it costs.

If the rotating of tires dosen't lead to anything, take a look at your harmonic balancer for cracks etc.

Like the others have advised, I'd swap tires first. If it is still there, and there are no wheel bearing symptoms, it might be a bad inner CV joint. You have described the symptoms perfectly for this rare problem. But I would check everything else first. Changing the axle is neither cheap nor easy, but I guess it is cheaper than a wheel bearing.
