Default retrieval of computer trouble codes for obd 1.5 hybird.

i have the 95 ssei and therfore have the obd 1 system with the obd 2 connector. the haynes computer codes book says to get the codes use the paper clip method on terminal #5 and #6 on the 16 (obd2) pin connector. i tried this, but on my connector, terminal #6 is empty. anybody got any idea on how to get the trouble codes on the 95 model? i am sure i have the obd1 system per the sticker under the hood. thanks.

You need a scan tool or a code reader that will read OBD1 protocol but uses an OBDII plug for your under dash connector. Actron makes two models that will do it - 9110 and 9145, IIRC.

Use search feature to find much more info on this.

i saw online where you can buy a cable that will hook up to the serial port on a laptop computer and get the codes that way... but when i looked for the software download i did not see the L67 engine listed.. is there software out there for the "hybird obd1.5"?
