Replacing a linear type EGR?

Has anyone ever had to replace a linear EGR? Can these go bad, and what would some of the symptoms be???

Stumbling, underpowered, poor mileage, running hot?

no light....have not ran a diagnostic yet, however...I have all four of the symptoms you describe!

Could a possible soft code be taking place?

I don't think so, but you could also have a clogged cat with those symptoms. Knock or kick the cat, and tell us what you hear.

Would a clogged cat also cause a stall? Or a no start?

Yes it can. If the engine cranks, but won't start, but normally it'* stumbling and week on accelleration, and not really affected at idle. NORMALLY.
