replacing an intake gasket
I just received my new intake gaskets. I'm some what confused about the end seals however. I received the end seals but they also sent silicone to use instead of the seals. My brother said when he changed gaskets on his firebird that he used the silicone instead. Is one better? Which should I use?

Most people think the silicone is way better than the gasket.
Personally, i prefer gaskets. Think about this for a second, if you ever have to remove it again, you will be scraping all that crap out of there.
Id say go with the gasket, aslong as its all tourqed down correctly you should be good to go.
Let us know how it goes!
Also What Year and Trim line (LE,SE,SLE,SSE,SSEi) is your car?
Very helpful info!
