Default Replaced blower motor and still no air?

I didnt have my new bonneville 2 weeks and the A/C went out,has well has the heater and defrost.After reading around the forum i figured it must be the blower motor so i went ahead and replaced that today and nothing.

And other ideas has to what could be causing this?

Does the fan turn on or not? Can you hear it running? Have you checked fuses? Does air come out anywhere?

This is why we like to troubleshoot each individual problem in a topic of their own. Never assume your problem is the same as someone else'*.

We need to know:

1. Electronic or manual climate control?
2. Does the fan come on or not? What happens if it doesn't, and you bang on the housing on the firewall (the bump just behind your engine)?
3. Does ANY air flow? Can you hear the airmix doors open and close when you select different functions or vents?

I do have the ECC.

I dont get any air through the vents,floor,or defrost and when my mechanic put the new motor in and it didnt come on he tried banging on it and still nothing.

The fan still does not run,i dont hear anything except my car idle a little higher when i turn on the A/C - but not the heater or defrost.

I had my mechanis test the wire where it goes into the blower motor and its dead,im not getting any juice to my blower motor.

So i went out and bought a Chilton book so i could get a diagram of my relay & fuse box under the hood and i cant find the right diagram for my engine.They have a diagram of a 1992 3800 and mine is a series 2 3800.

I tried to compare the two but the diagram showed seven different relay swithches and my car only has four?

The blower motor did work when i first got the car so the damn relay didnt evaporate.

Any idea'*?

Does anyone have a diagram of a series 2 3800 relay & fuse box?

With the ECC option, the first few speeds are controlled by the blower control module located on the top of the blower box. The high speed is controlled by a single relay in the relay center. If you have no air on any settings, it would seem more like a fuse located in the maxifuse relay center area.

Does the control unit on the instrument panel light up the way it should?
Does pressing or turning different selections cause those to indicate they've been selected?

There is a 30 amp fuse in the MaxiFuse Relay center on the firewall in the engine compartment. The book says it'* fuse A3. I can't locate a picture showing which of the row of extra large fuses that is.

There also is a fuse inside the car under the driver'* side that'* 15 amp that controls power to the programmer box and to the selector on the dash panel.

When the key is turned to "on" and the buttons on the dash are selected, do you hear the blower run?

When the car has been running and you turn it off, immediately try selecting defrost and then AC and then heat and see if you can hear the vacuum motors moving vanes inside the heater box while there'* still vacuum from the engine.

I had this EXACT same problem on my 97 and I did not get air out of the vents even at the "high" setting. There is an electronic regulator that the ECC controls that runs the fan which was the problem with mine. My gusee is that unit also kicks on the relay for the "high" setting as well.

Yes.. on a 12V test bench..actuate the relay and test for continutiy through the relay. If that doesn't make sense.. I'm sure someone can explain it better... There is a way to make the relay click as if it were passing power through and then test to ensure power could go through.

Do you have a multimeter?
