Replace Exhaust
I'm looking to replace my exhaust, because by the looks of my current one, it'* ready to fall apart.
I want to get a performance muffler, and some good headers, if I can afford them. But just for the pipes, what kind should I get, and about how much would they cost me? Also, do I really need a resonator?
For the muffler, I saw a nice one by Flowmaster, and for headers, well, I haven't seen any.
What should I be looking at?

i love my flowmaster, so i recommend that. also, consider a high flow cat. from what i've heard leave the resonator, unless you want a farty sound. now headers, that'* a good question. i'd say you'd have a better chance of finding them for the series II, so you might be in luck.
Yup, plenty of headers around. I know TOG (The Other Guys) make some, and I've heard good reviews on them. I'd say if you're going performance, loose the resonator, and also loose the cat or replace it with a performance cat (straight piping the cat comes with the usual legal disclaimers).
If you go headers, you'd be killing yourself not to be very careful about the rest of the system. Whatever you do, don't go 3". You'll loose too much backpressure, and it will cost you torque. Stick with 2.5" with performance muffler and cat, and headers if you can afford them.

You can get good pipes from whoever does the work for you. I wouldn't pay the GM price for anything, and a good mufller shop will do better bends. You won't have the corner wrinkles like the stock GM pipes have.
