Default removing ABS sensor plugs B4 1/4 mile racin

Ive heard that this keeps the trac control from retarding the ignition on takeoff, but on my 95 I have a traction cntrl on off switch, does my car still retard my timing on tire spin on my 95?? If so if I took the plugs loose B4 racing would my car run faster because its not retarding the timing on launches??

And if this is true why couldnt you install an interupter switch in the ABS module of at the wheel sensors so you could just flip a switch to turn the ABS and traction cntrl off?

If this is possible it would be a great mod for those of us that drag race or big Bonne boats!!!

are cars use "applied brakeing" instead of retarding the timing

ok so does it "apply braking" even if the traction control is off??
Or are we exempt from the evils of traction control nannyfication if we switch the trac off??

Turn TC off (on a 95 or older) and the TC is OFF. Period.

Only newer cars use retarded timing for TC.

good deal for us 95 and older guys, but maby, just maby someone with a 96 and later car can use this idea to better there 1/4 mile times with the flick of a switch. Just an idea

They've already been doing this for quite some time now.
