Default Reinforcement cover... part help

I bought the lower air deflector and two pieces that looked like they would probably be needed to install the deflector. Cause even before I rear ended a Cadillac a few years ago, they were missing. You'd think the body shop woulda replaced them... nope. It'* alright, I guess, cause they didn't charge for them either.

Anywho, one of the three parts, #2564264, Reinforcement cover, isn't really self explainatory. I couldn't really figure out where it goes by looking at my car. And my FSM doesn't even mention the piece.

It'* about three or so feet long, black metal bent in a U shape like it would just slide over the edge of something, bent about 10 degrees in the middle.

For anyone with a parts diagram, it'* part 7.

Any help?

Although I have it listed as 25642640, I know exactly what it is. Open the hood and pop it on the back edge of the top of the bumper cover. It'* just trim. Should be black. Basically runs from headlamp to headlamp.

My SLE doesn't have it, but the SSEi does. Mine tends to come loose on one end or the other every couple months, and I have to snap it back on. Need to glue it a bit better I suppose (Salt Flats next year may not be good for it).

It may also serve to stiffen up that top edge and keep it from flapping at high speed.
