Default Rear struts

Does replacing the rear struts cause the car to need to be aligned afterward?

No you are wrong. If you replace the rear struts, you do not have to get an alignment... I just did mine 2 weeks ago.

Both front and back will need and alignment after you replace the front suspension and back, I replaced my rears and needed a 4 wheel alignment, a week later replaced the front and needed to be realigned

Best way to not wreck your tires

You must have had it done then.... If you replaced them on your own you'd know there is no way that you will get the alignment right on the money without an alignment.. And as an Auto Mechanic you should know this
