Default Rattling Sound

1 prob after another....
When i start her up theres a rattling round coming somewhere underneath the car, when you give her some gas it goes away, this happens when the she sits over night (usually when cold). Also rattles on stop lights. When shes warm or hot it doesnt rattle at all. Im hoping its the exhaust but worried its not any barrings going

Its possible it is only the exhaust.

There are four heat shields. One up by the down pipe, one above the cat, and one above the res, and one above the muffler.

When the exhaust warms up the shields may be tight enough to not rattle.

When the car is cold and not running, hit the exhaust with a rubber mallet to determine if there is a loose shield.

I agree with Todd. Heat shields that are loose can make some noises that sound like the car/engine/tranny are falling apart. Let us know how things go.

Yeah I agree with the above two- mine does the same thing. Goes away when driving, but idling it is bad

probably just a sheared off rivet head. you could drill out the old rivet carefully and just pop in a new one and your good to go

Glad to hear its not a bad motor.........
