Default Radio Question

I have a 93 Bonneville with radio/cassette. When I turn off the car, the radio stays on until I open the door. I want to put in a CD Player, what I want to know is if the feature where the radio stays on is built into the radio or will it work if I put in a CD player? Thanks for any help!!

why not just go with a stock cd player with an equalizer??? oh yeah, it'* built into the car, not the radio
Thanks for the info. Where would I get one of those and how much would it cost?

I would decide on the use. If you want a lil bit more power going to the speakers & listen to mp3'* then I would definetly go aftermarket. But if you just want a cd player then get faactory. ALso price has some play in this also.

92-93 CD players are an exact fit. Around $200. 94-99 will work with some slight modifications. A little less expensive.

Yes, the rare 92-93 CD player. Check my post in the Audio forum. If you need help let me know.

Thanks for the info and pics. I probably wanna go with an aftermarket one then, for the mp3 and cd-rw support. Plus it would be easier getting one of those then looking for a stock one. Thanks!
