Default Radiator fan

my car there is 2 fans on the radiator...and the big on only turns on when the car is at like 220...and i dont like my car runnin that hot is there any way i can change it so that it comes on earlier...or do i have to cut the wire and wire it to a switch thats inside the car and manually turn it on?

I've got the same problem, I dunno if I can replace the motor or the entire assembly.Or could it be a relay?

Hi

Your car'* PCM is programed to turn on your fans at a set point. If you set your a/c to auto...it will turn your fans on. I usually run it this way when in traffic or slow moving traffic. It keeps the temps reasonable.
