Default R&R heater core on a '92

The core is leaking all over the passenger side floor. How big a job is this?

Big. But you can do it. Buy Chilton'* #28200. It should be available at an auto parts store.

It'* awful. A colossal pita because of all the parts you have to remove to get to the little heater core. I just learned today that I will need to replace the housing around my heater core and evaporator in my '95 which will be about the same job. I'll be starting on mine tomorrow or Thursday if it is a little warmer.

Hello..........I'm in Eugene!.....................I figured it would be a big job with the dash and all. Couldn't be any worse than a Ford Tarus though! ...............Well, I'll just give it a full weekend then.
Thanks for the advice!

Will,
Enjoyed the pics..............I've been going to the street legal drags on Fri evenings, that way I can get more runs in. I've also gone to Coos bay too, only 1/8 mile but not too crowded.

Your car is just like mine, same color and same wheels, mines an SLE though!

I'm goin to wait on the heater core. This weekend I am doing the engine install on the '92. Should be a pretty good lookin car when I'm done!

If you need any parts let me know, I'm a mechanic at a local garage and can get a deal on the GM stuff.

Nice to have a fellow car buff near by!
