Default quick questions

Few questions i never experienced with...

1. if i pull the oil filter out with the oil still sitting in the pan, will it start leaking everything out or just a little from whats left around the oil filter? (mine has a cracked gasket)

2. do other 3800 motors like in buicks or oldsmobiles have their O2 sensors bolted on top of the exhaust manifold like our bonnevilles?

thanks in advance

There will be some leakage but all the oil will not come out. You will need to top of the oil after you put it back.

Yes, all FWD 3800'* have their front O2 sensor in the exhaust manifold. (starting in 96 there are two. One in the manifold and one after the catalytic converter)

Don't know about emissions, but it will be very loud and will most likely get you pulled over.

Alot of synthetic oil users do that, change filter and not the oil after XXXX amount of miles, then just top off with a little synthetic

after seeing this clip: YouTube - 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8L L27 No Muffler Exhaust
that what got my idea, but the emissions worry me.
If not, then ill go with a flowmaster or magnaflow which ever i get my hands on first

im gonna have to get some kitty litter for the oil filter fix up, idiots at the shop must of given me a shitty *** filter or just bad luck

If you want a loud exhaust then install a exhaust bypass valve. You open the valve, no muffler, close it, and you have a muffler.
