ok here goes i bought this 92 sse about a month ago for $1400 and it has been sweet. all i have had to do is figure out what if anything is wrong with the car. it turned out to be mostly minor things like the power antenna, radio, couple of fuses, and some vacuum lines. but there are some major things like struts front and rear, probably a fuel pump, and what i thought was the blower motor.now here comes the questions.what does the control panel for the fan and a/c look like for the '92 sse mine has 3 *****.i have cleaned the evaporator as best i could without removing it, the blower motor works great, and as i have said i replaced all the dry rotted vacuum lines that i could find and my air still blows real weak.please help

Try opening up the EVAP and see how much air flow there is there. If you have a lot there and not much in the car the coils may be clogged. If not much there you may have a blockage between the blower motor and the EVAP. You can try sending a PM to Toddster, he knows a lot about these systems.

thanks i checked and there is no blockage between the evap and the blower, and i am trying not to remove the evap. but i do need to kn ow what my a/c control should look like(in the dash above the radio)
For the compass, 1st you have to select the zone (to get an approximate "true north") then you have to drive very slowly in a small circles to set the calibration. The owner'* manual describes the procedure.
As far as the heat/AC. Sorry but I have the ECC (electronic climate control) and not the manual system as you describe. But all the same, my air flow thru the ducts are very weak also. Almost as if the air direction system "doors" have lost their sealing capacity and air is bypassing to the other outlets.

look for the purple/violet colored vacuum hose, Is it collapsed? Also look for a vacuum leak at your vacuum canister under the front right corner of the front bumper. Is the vacuum hose disconnected there?
When the car is running, do you hear any whistling sounds?
There are actuators that are vacuum activated that control your airflow as well as your temp blend door. They are located under the dash..middle to drivers side. Look for vacuum hoses that are collapsed or disconnected.
Let us know what you find.
