What does it actual montior in 92 se. I know when I had my intrguie at montior the oil as I had go off once. With my 92 I have neverr gone more then 3080 miles without change oil. Somemaybe the oil never got dirty enough for it to go on. But I am sort doubt that is was it does and I have never seen light go on ohter then flash when you start the car up.
how do u have a oil life monitor and i dont? my cars like 7 years newer.
but anyways i was told it depend on the car some actually have a sensor in the oil other have a clock others have a clock that measure engine time.

IT says in the instruction manuel(it doesn't say what it does). It has fuse for it actual the sticker the car when it new says it has it. And actual now that think about it was on when I got the car.The car was down 4 quarts of oil. So actual I filled on the spot. But the light didn't go off until change the oil which was the next day. I know when own the intruige I had to reset by putting the car on postion but not starting and push the gas petal down 3 times. I am think that 92 would not be smarter the 99 inturgie, but I could be wrong. Yes I know some cars mesure milage but in that case you need to reset it when you change the oil. I have never done that. Acutal just for the record the intruige was actual measure the oil because light came on at 11,960 on the oil change. I was running mobil 1 fully sytheninc /w mobil 1 filter. I was going across country on the way home when it came on

I believe the light in question is a low oil indicator light that you are refering to. It doesn't monitor oil life, just engine oil level. If the level is too low, the light is set. Newer GPs, reagals, and intrigues have one that actually monitor the condition and time of the oil to help remind you that it is time for an oil change!

OK that is what I thought. Shot my intrigue would tell tires got low on air. 5 pounds or more. IT had no tire pressue sensor in the rims. It knew because hard turn tire with low air. at least that is how it was explained to me by the dealer ship. I miss that car very much. should trade in caviler and get intrguie

The 92-99 Bonnies, SE and SLE'* do not have an oil life monitor, It an oil level indicator And even that is an option...
On the SSE'* and SSEi'* If I'm not mistaken, it has an oil change reminder, as opposed to an oil life monitor...
The 2000+ plus if memory serves has an Oil life monitor
