Default Power steering fluid

My power steering fluid reservoir was overfilled last weekand now I hear a groaning noise when I turn the wheel all the way to the left . Is something critical damaged?

Overfilling may warp some seals, just like overfilling your oil.

More fluid then recommended will make it very hard to push all that fluid around-you still need air in the rack to move it. Your power steering will likely be harder to move.

Use a turkey baster to get some of that out of there.
