Default A post about suspensions confused me...

My 96 SE (no SC) says FE2 and FE9 (also suspension?). All four struts were replaced a few months before I got the car. He did NOT install rear air struts. The front seems to float a bit before taking a nice set in a corner. The rear looks to be sitting a bit low in the rear to me but not so bad that just anyone will notice. I was thinking of replacing the rear springs because im almost at 170k but from what I read in the Performance and Brainstorming forum its bad to not have the rear air struts with the FE2. What is the reason that is bad to do with the FE2? I know one end can affect the other in some situations. Do you think this might be the case?

I replaced the front end links with "Heavy Duty" replacements from Advance which seem to be a black polyurethane but the floatyness remained.

The reason given was that supposedly the springs were a different rate that depended upon the additional support of the air strut to keep the car at the right ride height.
