Default POP!

This is really starting to annoy me, but when I turn left and when I turn the wheel back into the straight position it will make a loud popping noise. Last summer the strut mounts were replaced, I checked both the inner and outer tie rod end. Im not sure what it could be, if anyone has any insight on what could cause this problem please inform me,

Thanks

Have you checked the CV joints?

I had an Audi once with a bad CV joint and it "Howled". I finally sold it becuase I couldn't turn the volumn on the radio high enough to drown out the sound!

i had a bearing go bad on my passenger side and it made a loud humming sound to... it never made a pop sound thought so I think you need to look for a different problem.

Also check your springs carefully.. you may have broken a coil or two.. so it'* not sittin on the strut mounts correctly and when you turn it stretch/bends it till so much stress and or when you you turn your wheel back it just snaps.. this has happened to Tamara'* car.. here'* a link to it.. I took the pic and didn't even notice it till we were trying to line up the new strut bearings

AFter Tamara got the new spring Tamara'* dad rented a spring compressor and was done right

Checked the anti-swaybar lately? My friend just bought a 1998 GP SE and it was doing that. Jacked the car up (didn't have to) and found the front anti-swaybar was broken right before it bolts onto the A-arm.
Also, how about ball-joints. My SLE was making a popping noise when switching gears from reverse to drive and vice-versa. Also on corners it would jerk the steering wheel. Got a new lower left ball joint and all is well again.
Let us know what you find. Good luck, and hopefully it'* not too expensive.
