In the attached pic, can you tell me what the black tube that turns down into the silver cannister is - what it runs to & from?

I have a leak in the rubber hose connector before the cannister.

The small canister it runs into is the vacuum modulator for the transmission. The hose is a vacuum hose.

I believe its a Transmission Vacuum Mod Pipe Orafice

part # 10207729 ... Cost about $17.20 +tax from the dealer

#14 In the Picture

thanks, bill. so both of those black tubes/hose are for the tranny?

if so, that definitely explains why the car's been acting up. both of those hose connectors got broke when the shop put in the new rebuilt SC. you can see in the bottom pic where the other was repaired.

right now the car drives like it wants to quit rolling & stop (with that other still leaking).

& thank you, okie. that diagram was just what I was looking for as I was going to the dealer today to find that piece - the rubber connector (orifice).

I guess there's no premade connector for the other tube (shift modulator) where it broke & they reconnected w/ a cut piece of hose. have to just use cut piece of hose?

Your welcome... I work at a dealership lol... so thats what they will see when they look it up lol

I cant find any manufactured piece so you will prolly just need a hose to match up... but make sure it fits tightly, you dont want a vac leak in ANY area

Many have used regular vacuum hose to replace it. You know the $.05 a foot at the parts store stuff!

Okie...lol ... Okie... ROFLMAO.. that's gonna stick to him now.

I ordered the orifice from the Pontiac dealer - yep, exactly 17.20+Tax. nothing but the best for my Bonny.
thanks guys! lol
