do u have an idea what that dangling sensor thing is it has a single insulated wire connected at both ends

if i remember right from my motor swap, that looks like the in-line connector for the rear knock sensor

On the single wire connector, DS is on the money. It is the rear knock sensor connection. There is a short lead that comes off the knock sensor in the rear center of the motor and then routes up over the transmission to this connector.

The middle picture appears to be the oil pressure sensor wiring. That would normally be connected to the black tubular sensor behind the power steering pump.
