SWI-X has anyone instaled one of these?

I sell those, the description from my catalog says...

"Steering Wheel Control Interface, the SWI-X allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel, rear seat radio controls or their steering wheel AC controls when replacing the factory head unit. The SWI-X will interface almost all infared head units with almost all vehicles with sterring wheel or rear seat controls. Works with virtually all aftermarket radios with wireless infared remote capability. The SWI-X can help with some steering wheel heater controls including GM. Note: The SWI-X interfaces will only work with infared remotes that use a 38-40kHz carrier frequency."

I have never tried it but they do sell it on the Grand Prix store, so it should work. That'* all I can do except if you want to buy it I can get a better price.

I have one. Works good when the car is warm, but it sucks when the car is cold.....

I bought one and never installed it. Have a brand new one laying around here somewhere. If you do, the best place for the transmitter is up through the shifter boot if you have a center console shifter. I ended up going back to the stock stereo with an FM cd changer. I can run my mini-disc through the tape adapter now, and my stereo still matches the dash lights.

If your thinkin about a new head unit, Check out Rockford Fosgate. I got the RFX 9300. Bought it cheep on ebay and i will tell you what it blends right in with the Pontiac Red dash lights. Looks almost factory. I will take some pics of it if anyone is interested.

I installed mine when I put in my Pioneer head unit (GM FIT) DH-P77DH or something like that. Anyways, the PAC works great, never had any problems, warm or cold. Also very easy to program.
