They'll clear the code. All they have to do is tap the "ERASE" button on the OBD II scanner.

They may not clear the code.

I've had them do it twice before, but the last time I went in for a read and then asked them to clear, I was told it'* against policy and that they never have done it?!?!?

Proly depends on who'* doing it and all.

After my recent UIM experience, the car is running fine but the wife came in and told me her check engine light came on ....
A quick trip to AZ showed a double P0401 error code.... after reading through the threads (I especially liked camljr ) it occured to me that it seemed to happen to more than a couple of fols right after an UIM change. What do you think about it being a vacuum leak at the UIM? I've seen the couple of o-ring missing threads.
I'm gonna try and clean it up, check the connections, etc... but just wonder about a different vacuum leak.
