My neighbor is a Ford guy and he also works on trucks. He thinks changing out the O2 sensor with a newer one will pull a code. I never understood the logic of keeping with an old sensor.
BTW, your mileage will go up. Very significantly.

A leaving a bad O2 sensor in is one of the faster ways to ruin your catalytic converter.

there'* a member on here that tried it.. failed after 3 month.. replaced under warrenty and failed after 6 month..
