switching from drive to OD while the car is in motion will not harm the transmission whatsoever, as long as you don't have your foot to the floor when doing it. i've run my caddillac and my bonneville the same way all the time, and as far as the TCC, it engages in Drive as well, actually more often than in overdrive, as the car is constantly at a higher rate of speed. check with mr tranny or aamco, they will verify this fer yeah, anyhow thats just my .02, not worth much LOL.

i use regular D if unless im going like say 60ish or above on open road for a long period of time.

OD seems to shift better than D on my car so I usuallly leave it in OD Would there be a problem from this?
